Science Fiction:
In biology, evolution is the process by which populations of organisms acquire and pass on novel traits from generation to generation. Its occurrence over large stretches of time explains the origin of new species and ultimately the vast diversity of the biological world. Contemporary species are related to each other through common descent, products of evolution and speciation over billions of years. More

"Perilous times shall come...corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith"

1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. 10But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Tim. 3 KJV

No More Freedom to Worship God in YOUR OWN HOME?

Eytan Yam: Remember: America is the trendsetter of the Western World.

Permission Slip from Caesar

"If I were to tell you about a city where it's illegal to hold a Bible study in your home without official permission, you'd think I was talking about a city in China or Saudi Arabia.

Well, you would be wrong. I'm talking about California. You might think, 'That can't be constitutional.' But you would be wrong again."

This also don't bode well for any Christian anywhere!

Religious Liberty on Trial

Can the government really tell a church whom to hire as a minister? That frightening question is very relevant today.

Chuck  Colson

"That is extraordinary," proclaimed Justice Scalia.

"I, too, find that amazing," Justice Kagan chimed in.

As reported by the New York Times and theWall Street Journal, The conservative Scalia and the liberal Kagan seemed bewildered by the Obama Administration's unbelievable assertion that there should be no "ministerial exemption" for churches when it comes to hiring.

That's the issue at stake in the case Hosanna-Tabor Churchv. Equal Opportunity Employment Commission. Who, in the end, decides who is a minister and who is not? A church, or the government?

In his excellent opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, Stanford's Michael McConnell, a former federal judge, notes that for "40 years lower courts have applied a 'ministerial exception,' which bars the government from any role in deciding who should be a minister.

"But," McConnell continues, "the Obama Justice Department has now asked the court to disavow the ministerial exception altogether. This would mean that, in every future case, a court — and not the church — would decide whether the church's reasons for firing or not hiring a minister were good enough."

Folks this is frightening. And I can't but help wonder if there's not a deliberate pattern here by the Obama Administration to restrict religious freedom.

Now, I'm not given to conspiracy theories, but how else do we interpret the Administration's actions over the past couple of years?

Remember last year, I warned something was up when Hillary Clinton proclaimed that "freedom of worship" was a top U. S. priority. As I explained then, "freedom of worship" and "freedom of religion" are not interchangeable. One allows you to worship any way you want in private — even Chinese citizens enjoy such so-called "freedom of worship." Freedom of religion, however, means the right to live out your faith in private and in public.

Well, not long after Clinton's speech at Georgetown, the Administration said it would no longer defend or enforce the Defense of Marriage Act — that's a federal statute!

Earlier this month, the administration announced it would not renew a $19 million contract with Conference of Catholic Bishops to help sex trafficking victims. Why not? Well, we do know the ACLU sued the government to terminate the contract because the Bishops Conference wouldn't help sex-trade victims obtain abortions!

And recently, the Department of Health and Human Services issued regulations that would force all employers — religious or otherwise — to purchase insurance that covered contraception and other "preventative care." Could that be true? True enough that the President chirped "Darn Tootin'" at a political rally.

What is the Administration up to? The Catholic Bishops are alarmed enough that they are forming a committee to press the Administration on its overtly hostile approach to religious freedom.

This is why everybody listening to me today has got to read and sign and get friends to sign the Manhattan Declaration. If you have read it already, go and read it again. We'll have a link for you at BreakPoint.org.

I think there's good reason to fear that if we fail to raise our voices now, we will be forced into civil disobedience. It's time to rally our forces. Christians should not have to compromise their faith to remain free and equal citizens.

Again and again, we must make clear, as the Manhattan Declaration states, we will under no circumstances ever render to Caesar what belongs to God.

Profeet of "profiteer"

October 17: A Call to Repentance

October 17

A Call to Repentance

Hebrews 4:13-16

How many times have you gotten caught in a "guilt cycle"? This involves confessing the same old sin, telling God you're sorry, and promising not to do it again—while suspecting that you probably will. Then around you go again. You've come clean dozens of times but still have no victory. Yet there is a biblical promise that states, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, emphasis added).

Friends, God is holding up His end of that promise. It's people who fall short—we have turned confession into a rote recitation of our shortcomings. The attitude is, I'm disappointed in myself, but I am weak and God knows that. True confession means agreeing with the Lord about sin, and it is inseparably linked with repentance; they're two sides of the same coin. To repent is to turn our back upon wrong. By looking at our sin from God's perspective, we will see a vile, wicked habit with terrible consequences, and we'll want to run from that as fast as possible!

In practical terms, to confess and repent requires the intentional decision to say, "By the Holy Spirit's power, I'm turning away." Satan will still tempt you, and failure remains a possibility. But God can break the chains of your sin, and He wants to set you free.

Victory can be immediate or a process of trading wrong choices for right ones. In some cases, temptation involving habitual sin never goes away. Then it becomes necessary to face each day in God's strength. When you forsake sin, the power of heaven is there to help you.

Read me. I'll lift your burdens and bring you joy.

.
Walk Thru the Bible

"Read Me" - Holy Bible

I'll lift your burdens and bring you joy.

God's Word holds out the promise of rich benefits for those who spend time reading it and take its truths to heart. Make the Bible your daily reading companion and you'll be blessed.

7 Reasons to Read the Bible Every Day

1.The Bible will help keep you from sin. "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you" (Ps. 119:11).
2.The Bible will lift your burdens. "My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word" (Ps. 119:28).
3.The Bible will guide your steps. "Your word is a lamp to my feed and a light for my path" (Ps. 119:105).
4.The Bible will bring you joy. "Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart" (Ps. 119:111).
5.The Bible will lead you to wisdom. "The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple" (Ps. 119:130).
6.The Bible will give you peace. "Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble" (Ps. 119:165).
7.The Bible will bring you back to God. "I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands" (Ps. 119:176).

These are pretty good reasons to read the Bible every day. But the thought of reading the entire Bible intimidates most people to the point that they don't even try. Not to worry—we have two excellent solutions!

Sadly, Proudly South African: What does God want HIS children to do?

Today, I posted the piece below on my Wordpress blog, and it got me thinking:

"Sadly, proudly South African: What does God (Father, Jesus, & Holy Ghost) want HIS children to do?"

I would like to hear your thoughts on this. I will ponder this question myself, and perhaps later I will be able to share some insight with you also.

Have a blessed day!

In His name.

Lizette
2011-10-13.

"A non-South African posed the question on Facebook today, in response to seeing a police report photo of the mutilated, bloodied face of a black-on-white South African murder victim:

"WHY DO WHITES TAKE IT???"

In answer, I propose these reasons:

Because of one, or a combination, of these reasons:

A) White South Africans have lived in SA for over 400 years; everything they have & are, are tied to the land;
B) they love their homeland, despite its problems;
C) they are not quitters, & believe in positive change ( mistakenly or not);
D) All their family live there, some cannot leave and lovedones cannot bear living apart;
E) They cannot afford to leave due to financial constraints;
F) they (or one member of their family) cannot leave due to age / medical / physical/ language/ mental or other limitations / disability;
G) they don't want to live as foreigners in a strange land;
F) They have nowhere to go / cannot qualify to emigrate OR to apply for refugee status because the world does not aknowlege any possibility of white genocide in SA;
G) some are in denial about the facts and level of SA's economic / political / & social dilemmas (a form of coping);
H) some thrive financially in SA's corrupt systems;
I) some believe they can & should help fix SA's problems;
J) some are protected by their affluence from the worst of what SA offers (crime, etc.);
K) some cannot adjust to life abroad (climate / cultural diff) & returm home to SA;
L) SA is a beautiful land / & (for some) worth dying for;
M) our ancestors paid for the land with money, blood, sweat & tears;
N) many are Christians and believe God:
(i) will deliver them,
(ii) carry them through difficult times,
(iii) will change the hearts of evil men,
(iv) would want them to live in peace with all people (of all races),
(v) want to use them to witness to the unsaved,
(vi) expects them to be forgiving of those that harm them / wish them harm, just as He forgave them their transgressions, because all people are sinners before God;
O) Most whites are civilized, peaceloving, good, honest people who abhor war and violence and do not want strife with blacks or anyone else;
P) Some feel they have done nothing wrong, despite apartheid laws, and they have nothing to apoligise for, so why should they make all the sacrifices;
Q) these factors above, and the fact that whites in SA have a multi-national European history of independence and self-reliance, make it difficult for them to band together and agree on one leader and one course of action;
R) BUT, sadly, MOST LEFT South Africa ALREADY!

It breaks my heart daily, and many friends, family members, and strangers have labelled me a "traitor," but I left for the sake of my children and the prospect of a peaceful, violence-free life, despite all the reasons I had to stay!

Only time will tell who will be the fortunate / unfortunate ones.
