Our 2011 finances:
2011 has been a very strong year for Got Questions Ministries financially. We praise God for this. At the same time, we need a strong December so that we can go into 2012 with sufficient funding for all the projects we have in mind.
Plans for 2012:
We have some very exciting goals for 2012!
First, we want to complete our goal of having content online in every major world language in which there is significant internet usage. According to our research, there are an additional 5-10 languages we should target. The cost to translate an initial group of articles into these languages would be around $8,000.
Second, we want to expand and improve our mobile phone apps. We currently have apps available for iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry. In addition to these current apps needing some upgrades, we are also currently working on an app for Windows Phone. The cost for our 2012 mobile app plans will be approximately $6,000.
Third, we want to enable functionality that would allow people to text message (SMS) us a question and receive an automated response with the closest-matching answers. The approximate cost for this will be $5,000.
Beyond these new and expanded plans, our financial obligations include: salaries, payments to translators, webhosting, graphic/web design, programming, hardware upgrades, software, and the program we use to send the QOTW to our 200,000 email subscribers.
